Connect OpenClaw

OpenClaw stores remote service connections in its managed server registry. This setup uses the OpenClaw command line and is intended for a technical administrator.

Get the MCP URL

1. Sign in to Connect and open the workspace OpenClaw should use.
2. Open Authorized apps, select Add an AI app, and choose OpenClaw.
3. Copy the MCP URL shown in the dialog.

Add Connect to OpenClaw

Run the following command, replacing the placeholder with the MCP URL from Connect:

openclaw mcp add connect \
  --url PASTE_THE_MCP_URL_HERE \
  --transport streamable-http \
  --auth oauth

Start the sign-in flow:

openclaw mcp login connect

Complete the browser sign-in and choose the Connect workspace. OpenClaw stores the connection for its eligible agent runtimes.

Check the connection

Use openclaw mcp status to inspect the saved configuration and openclaw mcp doctor --probe connect to test the live connection. Keep only the tools the intended accounting workflow needs.

Choose a model for accounting work

Choose the strongest model exposed by your configured provider for multi-step accounting work. Avoid a budget or fast model as the default when the app must investigate records or prepare a change; use those models for simple summaries or rewrites instead.
