AI and Data FAQ
Last updated August 9, 2026
Does Connect train an AI model on our books?
No. Connect does not use your accounting data to train a Tactivus LLC AI model. It receives an authorized request, calls the connected accounting platform, and returns the requested result to the AI app your firm selected.
Does that mean no AI provider can train on the data?
No. Your firm chooses the connected AI app. That provider’s agreement, account type, region, retention, and model settings determine what it does after receiving an authorized result. Use a business or enterprise plan with data controls that meet your firm’s requirements.
Does Connect copy our accounting file?
No. Connect does not maintain a replicated copy of your entire ledger. It processes the accounting data needed for the workflow you authorize. Temporary execution state can contain scripts, proposed changes, bounded results, and errors, but it normally expires after one hour of inactivity and has a 24-hour maximum lifetime.
What is in the activity history?
The activity history is designed to show which authorized member or app performed an operation, which connection it used, when it happened, whether it was a read or write, whether approval applied, and whether it succeeded. It can include confidential metadata such as workspace and member identifiers, a connected company identifier, operation names, timestamps, approval state, outcomes, and workspace names for workspace creation and rename events.
It does not contain general chat prompts, accounting-platform requests or results, transaction payloads, report contents, balances, or OAuth tokens.
How long is activity history kept?
Customer-visible activity metadata is kept while needed to provide useful history, security, support, and the service. Some activity records can remain after workspace deletion, including in archive storage. The Privacy Policy explains the applicable criteria and exceptions. This history is a product control and convenience, not a substitute for the accounting records and audit history your firm must retain in its accounting platform or another system.
Can Tactivus LLC staff see customer data?
Access is limited to situations where it is needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, or support Connect, or to meet a legal obligation. Routine logs are designed to use correlation identifiers and safe error categories instead of accounting payloads or raw account details. If a support case requires customer content, we ask the customer to provide or authorize only what is needed for that case.
What happens when we disconnect or delete a workspace?
Disconnecting an accounting platform revokes or removes the Connect credential. Workspace deletion ends access and starts provider and local cleanup. Neither action deletes the connected company or its accounting records. Limited activity, support, billing, security, dispute, legal, and backup records may remain under the Privacy Policy.
Which providers help operate Connect?
See the current Service providers page. Customer-selected accounting platforms and AI apps are listed separately because your firm directs those connections.
